MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY MEETING

GRANGER JR. HIGH SCHOOL

On behalf of the Sweetwater Union High School District, please join us for a presentation on the facility master plans for Granger Jr. High School, National City Middle School, and Sweetwater Union High School. School Site Master Plans identify each facility’s needs, and assist in developing the future of our campuses. A presentation of the master plan will be followed by community engagement focus groups, for each campus.

At this meeting,  the stakeholders, which include school staff, students and community members, will be asked to provide insight into their schools’ facility needs, such as upgrades to buildings, athletic fields and the overall appearance of the school. These stakeholders are in contact with the schools everyday and hold the greatest knowledge and understanding of the needs of their schools.  Therefore, your attendance at this meeting is important, as your voice will be heard and considered by the District when it comes time for planning improvements at your school campus.

Date:
May 31, 2018 Sweetwater Union High School– Cafeteria 6:00 p.m.

Granger is a “School To Watch”

Congratulations to our staff, students, parents and community for being re-designated as a “School to Watch”  by the U.S. Department of Education.  It is due to the collaborative effort of our entire community that we received this honor.  The criteria for selection of Schools to Watch is multi-faceted and rigorous.  The components include: Developmental Responsiveness, Academic Excellence, Social Equity and Organizational Structure.  Most schools excel in one or two areas but Granger continues to excel in all.  12
